Class 1 have been busy making Rudolph’s special reindeer dust and Santa tags for Christmas presents. They can’t wait for you to be able to get some of your own at our Christmas Coffee Morning. This will take place on Friday 1st December 2017, at 9:15 am.
The children have all had a fantastic day celebrating Children in Need. Everyone came to school dressed in spots, Pudsey T-shirts, onesies, pyjamas and non-uniform. All of the children also received a Children in Need wristband, which they all appreciated, and wore to show their support of Children in Need. We will update you with our total raised soon.
Here are some pictures of our school council, who organised the event today, giving out certificates to people who wore some fantastic outfits for Children in Need. School Council would like to say that everyone looked amazing today and thank-you for showing your support for Pudsey!
Where changes to admission arrangements are intended, all schools are required to consult before these are determined and published. Please find the 2019-2020 policy on our website under the policies page. Alternatively, please get in touch with school if you would like a hard copy of the policy. A consultation response form is available by request, from the school.
Today, everyone in school took part in a two minute silence to remember the soldiers who fought for us. On behalf of the whole school, Class 5 and 6 then visited the cenotaph to lay a wreath. We read the poem, ‘In Flanders Field’ and we said a prayer. All of the children were so respectful and everyone enjoyed taking the wreaths to show respect for the soldiers in our community and all those fighting now.
We can not wait to see parents, family members and friends, on December 1st 2017, for our Christmas Coffee Morning. Remember that children from each class will be creating their own exciting Christmas products to sell. Here is a picture of some of the reindeer hot chocolate that Year 2 children have been making. We will keep updating you with more exciting items that you will be able to buy at the Christmas Coffee Morning.
The children have had an amazing time at the disco tonight. They danced, played games and enjoyed some juice and a hot-dog. Their costumes were fantastic. Thank-you to all of the FOOLLs who organised the event.
This year the Peterlee Partnership Teaching School Alliance, which we are part of, is focusing on science. We have been working with our partnership schools and Durham University to develop our science learning and to enjoy looking at the different aspects of science. The Year of Science was launched at a teacher training day in September, with the famous scientist, Professor Robert Winston, as a guest speaker.
On Friday 13th October, our school science ambassadors joined other schools at a children’s science day and took part in some fantastic science learning. They displayed some science work that we have been doing in school and they spoke to other children and adults, explaining their science knowledge. They also asked fantastic questions and were involved in some experiments.
Well done to all of our children for representing our school so well. We look forward to sharing more amazing science work as the Year of Science progresses.
