We would like to thank everyone who came to support our Spring Fayre. The atmosphere in school was full of warmth and community. The Fayre was a huge success and it was lovely to see so many people from our Parish and wider school family. We sold every item made, showing that the hard work of all of the children was appreciated by everyone who joined us. All money raised will go towards our theatre visits. Thank you from all of our children and staff.
Super Spring Fayre

We are so excited for our Spring Fayre;look at the amazing items that the children have made. Staff and children are all looking forward to welcoming members of our school and parish families to look around the stalls tomorrow, whilst enjoying tea, coffee and cakes. Thank you for your support.
Spring Coffee Morning
After all of the snow, why not join us on Friday morning, at our Spring Coffee Morning, to start the countdown to Spring and hopefully nicer weather!
Enjoy a cup of tea, whilst browsing through all of our Spring crafts, which are all handmade by our children. We have decorated mugs, coasters, plant pots, sweet jars and much more.
The children will be hard at work over the coming week to design and create all of the Spring crafts for you.We hope to see you there.
Winter Olympics Celebration Day.
All of our children enjoyed taking part in the Winter Olympics celebrations before the half term. Children were able to come to school dressed in their sports wear and they learned about many aspects of the games. Some of our children took part in an Opening Ceremony, some made posters, some researched sports and all of our children learned about Korea, the host city.
We were even lucky enough to receive a message from Olympian Emily Sarsfield who is at the games this year. She was so pleased to hear that we were celebrating the Winter Olympics and she encouraged the children to watch the games.
A fantastic day was had by all in our school.
Winter Olympics Topic Day.
On Friday 9th February 2018, we are celebrating the Winter Olympics by having a topic day. Please remember that all children can come to school in sport clothing or non-uniform, for a donation of £1.
Children across the school will learn all about the Winter Olympics and their school work that day will be focussed around this important event.
We would also like to remind all families that school will finish for half term on Friday 9th February.
Happy 90th Birthday Our Lady of Lourdes School.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in school last week for our party celebrations. Our Mass gave thanks for our wonderful school. Throughout the Mass, all of our children let their light shine, showing why all staff (and so many visitors who commented how respectful the children were in church) are so proud of our school.
We enjoyed seeing lots of familiar faces, past and present, from our school family, community and Parish. Thank you for joining us in school for our quiz, cake and walk down memory lane.
The children all enjoyed their party lunch and singing Happy Birthday to our school. What an amazing milestone to have met!
Carols by our choir
Our school choir, with Miss Leonard, were out yesterday singing at Croft House and at the Department for Work and Pensions in Seaham.
They sang Christmas songs and carols and enjoyed meeting and spending time with lots of different people. They all really let their lights shine and they represented our school beautifully.
Christmas Card Swap
Some of our children represented Our Lady of Lourdes School and took our Christmas cards to other Peterlee Partnership schools. All of the schools then took part in a big Christmas card swap. Look at all of the amazing Christmas cards from all of the schools involved. Merry Christmas to all of the schools, staff and communities in our Peterlee Partnership.
